“The Memory of Time: Contemporary Photographs” is a group exhibition exploring the complexity of the medium’s relationship to time, memory, and history. Seventy-six works by artists including David Maisel, Sophie Calle, Chuck Close, Moyra Davey, Carrie Mae Weems, Chris McCaw, and more will be presented at the Gallery for the first time in order to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the National Gallery of Art’s photography program.
